The Discover Scuba course is a great way to introduce new divers to scuba diving in a fun and safe environment. Essentially, it is the very first evening of the Open Water course, and includes a classroom session, and an hour of instruction in the pool.

Under the trained supervision of one of our PADI Instructors, you can experience the thrill of breathing underwater and the peaceful tranquility of floating weightless in the aquatic realm! Course price includes all your equipment for the pool, and can be credited towards the Open Water course, should you continue. The Discover Scuba course runs simultaneously with each Open Water Module 1.

PADI Open Water Diver Course

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.

Prerequisites

- Must be 10 years of age or older.

The Fun Part

Get Your Diving Locker Open Water Diver scuba certification

The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver.

During the course, you’ll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your Diving Locker Instructor.

This course consists of three main phases:

*Knowledge Development to understand the basic principles of diving

*Confined Water Dives (Pool) to learn the basic scuba skills

*Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you will learn to use and care for all of the basic scuba gear, (Which is all included). You also have great access to expert advise from your instructor should you decide you want to purchase some or all of your own gear.

Nervous about the cold water? Why not consider the optional drysuit upgrade. For $99.95, you will receive an additional evening in the pool to learn how to use the drysuit, and you will be able to use it for all 4 of your ocean dives.

**Our courses include all of your scuba gear, but do not include personal gear (mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves), these can be rented for an additional $50 (or $30 if doing the Tropical referral.) Should you decide to purchase this gear, this rental fee will be credited towards your purchase.**

There are 3 Different Ways you can take this course:

Evenings Weekends Privately

Continuous Evening Classes: $379.95

This course uses a modular format, and is our most popular option.

There are a total of 5 modules, each module consists of a classroom/pool session. The modules run on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, starting at 6:00pm. Once you have completed all 5 modules you will then move on to your 4 ocean dives, which are completed over a period of one weekend.

This course is extremely flexible because you do not need to complete all modules back to back, but you must complete them in order. You can have the course completed in as little as 2 weeks or as long as a year.

Weekends Only Semi-Private: $479.95

This course is designed for those who have a busy weekday evening schedule, or for those who would prefer to learn at a faster pace with a smaller group of students.

This course consists of two weekends. The first weekend, you will complete all of your class and pool work (These are full 9-5 days).

The second weekend you will join in with our regular classes and complete your 4 ocean dives. The course price includes all **Scuba Gear** and Training Materials. Please have a look at our online calendar for more information on dates.

Private Fast Track: $629.95 (1 student) or $599.95 (each for 2 students)

The Fast Track program is designed for customers who want to learn to dive NOW, or have a schedule that doesn't allow for any of the other two options.

Essentially it is the entire Open Water course in three days, with private instruction. Students are given the training materials beforehand, and are expected to have completed all the reading and academics on their own.

On the first day, one of our PADI Instructors will review the material with you, and complete all the pool dives. The following two days are spent in the ocean completing your 4 dives.

The course price includes EVERYTHING you need, including personal gear. The course is provided on an on-demand basis. (Maximum of two students per course)

Tropical Referral:

Diving Locker Open Water Diver Crew Pak

Designed for those divers who wish to complete their class and pool sessions here, but prefer to do their ocean dives in a warmer climate. Because the PADI system is taught worldwide, you can complete your training anywhere in the world as long as it's done through a PADI certified Instructor (please note that you will have to pay extra for the completion of your course at whatever rates the receiving resort has set).

The course includes the first five class and pool sessions, as well as all the training materials, and **SCUBA** equipment rentals.

Alternately, if you are looking to complete your Open Water Certification here (you have been referred from a different PADI Instructor), and wish to complete your ocean dives, we can do that too! Courses are run in conjunction with the Open Water Course.
