PADI Divemaster

 

Diving Locker Open Water Diver Crew Pak The PADI Divemaster course is the first step in the professional realm of diving (Can you imagine getting paid to go diving?) It teaches students the knowledge and skills to safely lead certified divers, act as an assistant to PADI Instructors, and even independantly teach the PADI Discover Scuba program!

The course involves knowledge development in the areas of dive physics, physiology, equipment, dive skills and the environment, decompression theory and the Recreational Dive Planner. There are also a series of waterskill assessments, dive skill development sessions, and in-water internships.

The internships are the Divemaster candidate's opportunity to work with our Instructors in a real setting where the prospective Divemaster comes to the pool and ocean with us to help new divers discover the thrill of diving!

Students must have their Rescue Diver Certification, and a minimum of 40 logged dives to begin The Divemaster Course. Students must have 60 logged dives by the end of The Divemaster Course.

Course price includes the Divemaster manual, but please note that the course price does not include gear (rental packages are available) or Divemaster Crewpack.

PADI Instructor Development Course

Think you've got what it takes to teach scuba diving? Do you want to travel the world? Start an exciting new career? Add some flair to your regular 'boring' day job? Maybe you should consider becoming one of the elite members of the diving world who call themselves 'Scuba Diving Instructors'! Here at the Diving Locker, we have several options available.

For those who have already achieved the Divemaster rating, the Instructor Development Course (IDC), is a 9 to 10 day course consisting of the Assistant Instructor Course, followed by the Open Water Scuba Instructor Course. Upon completion, candidates are eligible to attend a PADI Instructor Examination, held several times throughout the year. Courses run throughout the year. and can be done over a series of weekends, or during the week.

Recreational Gold Course: $749.95

The Recreational Gold Course (RGC) is designed for Open Water students who wish to develop their diving skills without taking the professional route.

Upon completion, you will be a professional member of PADI, and be eligible to work as a PADI Divemaster. As an option, students can upgrade to the TDC Plus, which includes all the TDC courses plus an Instructor Development Course.

Graduates of the TDC Plus program will then be able to apply to participate in a PADI Instructor Evaluation (a separate fee payable to PADI is not included in the course price), and begin a career as a Scuba Instructor!

 All scuba gear and training material is included for the Advanced, Rescue, and specialty courses. It is strongly recommended that students have their own diving equipment and personal gear, however rental packages can be arranged. Course times and dates are very flexible, you choose the course dates from our Continuing Education Calendar.
