The next step for a PADI Advanced Diver is the Rescue Course. Here you'll learn the skills that are needed to become more aware of yourself and your diving companions.
The Rescue Course will teach you to effectively prevent problem situations and to deal with diving emergencies. This is arguably one of PADI's best courses for increasing a diver's self confidence.
The course includes two evening class and pool sessions, and one day of ocean diving.
Course cost includes training material and use of basic scuba equipment. Personal gear can be rented at a reduced rate. Courses are run once a month. The start date is the third Tuesday of each month.

To be certified as a Rescue Diver, participants must have completed a sanctioned course in CPR within the past 2 years. Introduced in 2003, PADI and DSAT came together to develop Emergency First Response (EFR), which includes both a primary care component (CPR) and secondary care (First Aid).
Together, these courses can be used toward your Rescue Diver Certification, although they are valuable courses on their own. The EFR Primary and secondary care courses are based on internationally recognized medical guidelines for emergency care, and are geared towards divers and non-divers alike.
The EFR course can be completed in one evening, and is designed like other two tiered first aid courses; i.e. you could just take CPR, or First Aid.
Courses are run once a month. The start date is the third Wednesday of each month.
