sunshine-coast1-e1411073436582Experience the Sunshine Coast!

We run Sunshine Coast Safari’s once a month (usually towards the end of the month). The site we most commonly dive is Tuwanek, where we have frequent encounters with wolf eels, and Giant Pacific Octopus, and much much more. What makes this site a favorite, is the entry (almost little to no walking)!

Cost:

$89.95 + 25% off rental gear

Includes:

  • 2 Tanks, weights
  • 2 Guided shore dives
  • Transportation
  • Ferry Fee

 When:

Meet time is around 8 am (times may vary due to ferry schedule, please call to confirm) and we return around 6 pm (depending on traffic).

Requirements:

Divers must be able to provide proof of certification, and have done at least 4 cold water dives in the last 12 months.

Although the difficulty level of this site is fairly easy, the trip itself is tailored to self-sufficient divers who have mastered their buoyancy control. The guide is there to provide surface support with any gear issues, provide a site briefing and lead the dives for those that would like to follow. Divers who haven’t quite mastered their buoyancy in the cold water or who require some extra attention and support are recommended to start with one of ourLocal Safari’s.

Victoria Dive Trip @ Sidney | Sidney | British Columbia | Canada

oin us for 2 Wreck Boat Dives on the Vancouver Island.

This trip is designed for advanced divers as we well do wreck dives (deeper dives in current).

Trip Details:

* Meet at the Diving Locker at 7am to catch the 8:30 ferry.
* We’ll enjoy 2 Boat dives and have a break for lunch in between
* We will plan on catching the 5pm Ferry back to Vancouver

 Trip Cost $239.95 Includes:

  • Transportation (including ferry)
  • 2 Guided Boat Dives
  • Tanks/Weights

The Southern Gulf Islands is more more subjected to current and the environmental conditions are much more variable. Larger waves due to wind, poorer visibility (on average), did we mention current?  The life is denser – you’ll see a lot of the same types of critters as you would in the inlet – just way more of it.  Kelp forests, underwater ship wrecks, dense fields of anemones, speckled with crabs, sculpins, octopus, the odd seal and much more.  Due to the current, most (although not all) dives are advanced dives.  Generally speaking, your first drysuit dives should not be done in this area.

Dive Sites:

  • HMCS McKenzie
  • GB Church (artificial reef)
  • Arbutus Island
  • Graham’s Wall
  • North  & South Cod Reefs
  • Active Pass
  • Enterprise Reef
  • Shute Rock
  • Kelp Reef
  • Pender Island Bluffs
  • Mandarte Island
  • Russell Island
  • Burial Islet
