If you are a newer diver and have been interested in technical diving but don’t know where to start or what you will need going forward, you will want to start with the Intro to Tech Course. This course will get your feet wet and introduce you to a whole new world of diving and give you the information you need to keep moving forward to become a technical diver.
ADVANCED CERTIFICATION | 25 COLDWATER DIVES (10 IN A DRYSUIT)
Learning how to compensate for situations you would normally handle with a buddy is the focus of the Self-Reliant Diver course. This includes proper dive planning using air consumption rate calculations, life support system redundancy, and independent management of dive emergencies.
ADVANCED CERTIFICATION | 100 LOGGED DIVES
The Bioherm Glass Sponges were thought to be extinct up until the last 20 years when a local diver, happened to discover the Bioherm Sponge Reef in our very own back yard in Howe Sound! The Bioherms are often at deep depths, outside the limits of most recreational divers. Currently British Columbia is the only place in the world (that we know of) to have Bioherm Reefs as shallow as 40m/120ft.
Due to the fragile nature of these sponges, in order to dive them you need to be a certified Bioherm Sponge Diver.
ADVANCED CERTIFICATION | NITROX SPECIALTY | DEEP SPECIALTY | 30 COLDWATER DIVES (10 DEEPER THAN 18M/60FT)
You will expand your knowledge from your standard Nitrox course and improve your knowledge of physics, physiology, gas planning, equipment choices and considerations, and proper labelling with regards to using oxygen rich mixes higher than 40%.
RESCUE DIVER | NITROX SPECIALTY | DEEP SPECIALTY | 30 COLDWATER DIVES (10 IN A DRYSUIT)
The diver who is ready to take the leap into technical diving and learn how to properly plan and execute deep dives with decompression stops and contingency safeguards in place.
You’ll learn the physics and physiology behind planned decompression dives, gas and gear matching with team members, how to use tables and dive planning software, and advanced buoyancy control and emergency drills to safely complete an open water decompression dive.
RESCUE CERTIFICATION | DEEP SPECIALTY | SIDEMOUNT OR PROFICIENT IN BACKMOUNTED DOUBLES | 30 COLDWATER DIVES (10 IN A DRYSUIT)
