Dive Site: Alice Lake

Alice Lake is surrounded by towering mountains, dense forests and grassy areas. There are four freshwater lakes that dominate the landscape and make swimming and fishing very enjoyable pastimes. The trail around Alice Lake is a popular one for an evening stroll and for the more adventurous there is the Four Lakes Trail. There are excellent views of the Squamish River and the Tantalus Range from the DeBeck’s Hill Trail. This is a favourite family park.

Divers must be able to provide proof of certification and have been diving within the last 12 months.

Sunshine Coast @ Tuwanek
Mar 31 @ 7:45 am – 5:45 pm

sunshine-coast1-e1411073436582Experience the Sunshine Coast!

We run Sunshine Coast Safari’s once a month (usually towards the end of the month). The site we most commonly dive is Tuwanek, where we have frequent encounters with wolf eels, and Giant Pacific Octopus, and much much more. What makes this site a favorite, is the entry (almost little to no walking)!

Cost:

$89.95 + 25% off rental gear

Includes:

  • 2 Tanks, weights
  • 2 Guided shore dives
  • Transportation
  • Ferry Fee

 When:

Meet time is around 8 am (times may vary due to ferry schedule, please call to confirm) and we return around 6 pm (depending on traffic).

Requirements:

Divers must be able to provide proof of certification, and have done at least 4 cold water dives in the last 12 months.

Although the difficulty level of this site is fairly easy, the trip itself is tailored to self-sufficient divers who have mastered their buoyancy control. The guide is there to provide surface support with any gear issues, provide a site briefing and lead the dives for those that would like to follow. Divers who haven’t quite mastered their buoyancy in the cold water or who require some extra attention and support are recommended to start with one of ourLocal Safari’s.
