Available Positions:
Retail & Customer Service
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. If you’re passionate about the ocean, love talking about gear, and enjoy helping people get set up for their next adventure, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:

- Greet and assist customers in-store with gear selection, sizing, and product knowledge.
- Sign customers up for classes & trips
- Process sales transactions and maintain an organized, welcoming retail space.
- Support inventory management, merchandising, and restocking.
- Learn and stay up to date on the latest dive gear and accessories.
- Represent The Diving Locker brand with friendly, professional service.
What We’re Looking For

- Retail or customer service experience (dive industry experience is a huge plus!).
- A positive, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
- Interest in diving, freediving, or ocean adventure (certifications are an asset but not required).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability for weekends and flexible hours.

PADI Dive Instructor
We are always looking for passionate and professional PADI Instructors to join our team. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality dive training, guiding students safely through their courses, and inspiring the next generation of divers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on teaching, sharing their love of the ocean, and creating memorable underwater experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Teach a range of PADI courses from Open Water to continuing education (specialties, Advanced, Rescue, etc.).
- Provide safe, fun, and professional dive experiences for students and certified divers.
- Assist with retail and gear fitting when needed, ensuring students are well equipped.
- Represent The Diving Locker on charters and local dives.
- Contribute to building a positive, welcoming dive community.
What We’re Looking For
- Current PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (or higher).
- Active teaching status with insurance.
- Professional, safety-conscious, and approachable teaching style.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience diving in cold water (or willingness to adapt to local conditions).
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as courses demand.
- Be able to legally work in Canada- we are not able to offer or assist with any immigration or work visas.
- Valid driver’s license

Schedule: We run most of our courses on Evenings and Weekends, but often have courses running during the daytime as well
Trip & Activities Coordinator
We are looking for an outgoing, energetic, and driven PADI Pro to head our Trips and Activities program.
This full time position will involve organizing and planning dive trips and activities. Dive trips will include local day trips, weekend trips to Vancouver Island, and even warm water destinations. You’ll also be in charge of organizing themed diving activities, think underwater pumpkin carving, scavenger hunts, and more. The sky is the limit! Your main goal is to keep our divers diving and engaged. You’ll also work closely with our head instructor in order to make sure there are no scheduling conflicts with vehicles, equipment, and staffing as we have a very busy instructional program as well.
The ideal candidate will be a dive Instructor, but Divemaster’s may be considered. You will need to be legally able to work in Canada and have a drivers license. We are looking for someone who already has local dive experience and knowledge of the area. You’ll need to have excellent organizational and planning skills, be self-motivated, team player, and have strong problem solving abilities.
