The red rock crab is a feisty little crustacean native to the Pacific Northwest. Known for its striking red or orange shell, this crab has a personality as bold as its color. Typically found scuttling along rocky shorelines and sandy depths, red rock crabs are excellent climbers and can even cling to underwater surfaces with ease. While they’re not the biggest crab in the sea, they make up for it with a powerful set of pincers and a fierce appetite for a variety of foods, from small fish to snails. Whether they’re hiding in a crevice or on the hunt for their next meal, these crabs are always ready for a little adventure.
