You’ll complete the PADI Digital Underwater Photography course online via PADI E-Learning. The course includes two Knowledge Reviews, afterwards one of our PADI Instructors will reach out and answer any questions you may have.
During your online course you’ll learn basic principles of composition, how to prevent backscatter, and the best ways to photograph different types of marine life, divers, and underwater seascapes. You’ll also learn editing techniques, and how a little pre-planning can help create a story.
Once you’ve completed your online course, you can either stop there or add on optional dives to receive the full specialty!
In order to receive the full PADI Digital Underwater Photography Specialty, you will need to complete two underwater photo dives with your PADI Instructor. You’ll need to have your own camera with underwater housing, white balance slate, and any support hardware such as camera batteries, memory cards, o-ring lubricant, etc. Your instructor can help make recommendations to help you pick the camera that is right for you!
